Community Awards Banquet
The Community Awards Banquet is a yearly event in which we put a spotlight on our volunteers, service workers, city workers, educators, first responders and businesses of the community who are always working to make our community a more enjoyable place to live and work. We love this community and feel that every year we should stop to thank those who put in the extra hours and went above and beyond to make a difference.
Over the last few years we have held this event at Talon Hall, located at Central Valley High School, and have been able to showcase our youth talents by using the culinary department to cater, the music department for entertainment, art department as pieces for décor and have even had robotics department a few times to show off the amazing robots and other creations they have made this year. We feel that our community has the best kids ever and we want to show you! We are very thankful to Gateway Unified School District for their partnership each year to help make each year a memorable experience.
We accept nominations yearly for the following awards:
Citizen of the Year
Volunteer of the Year
Hometown Hero
Parade Marshal
If you have a nomination, please write up a few paragraphs about why you feel this person or group should receive the award and email it to [email protected] by Jan. 31 to be considered for that year.
